London's Lord of the Rings opens today

London: The West End production of The Lord of the Rings opens today at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane.

Making up the fellowship of the ring is Malcolm Storry as Gandalf, James Loye as Frodo, Peter Howe as Sam, Owen Sharpe as Pippin, Jerome Pradon as Aragorn, Richard Henders as Merry, Michael Rouse as Legolas, Sevan Stephan as Gimli, and Steven Miller as Boromir. The rest of the cast includes Laura Michelle Kelly as Galadriel, Michael Therriualt as Gollum, Rosalie Craig as Arwen, Andrew Jarvis as Elrond, Terence Frisch as Bilbo, Tim Morgan as Théoden, and Kirsty Malpass as Rosie.

The ensemble features Alexandra Bonnet, Greg Bradley, James Byng, Darren Carnall, Lee Clayden, Jennie Dale, Claire Doyle, Stephen Emery, Ben Evans, Josh Feldshuh, Alma Ferovic, Wayne Fitsimmons, Chris Gage, David Grant, Shaun Henson, Christopher D. Hunt, Luke Johnson, Corrie Mac, Stuart Neal, Tim Parker, Richard Roe, Andrew Rothwell, Adam Salter, Robbie Scotcher, Nick Searle, Stevie Tate-Bauer, Jon Tsouras, Gavin Wilkinson, Glen Wilkinson, Sam Wilmot and Kirk Zammit.

The Lord of the Rings, based on the trilogy of novels by J.R.R. Tolkien, features direction by Matthew Warchus, book and lyrics by Shaun McKenna and Matthew Warchus, and music by A.R Rahman and Varttina with Christopher Nightingdale.
