New YorkOn Golden PondThis production premiered at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC last fall.Joining Jones and Uggams are Linda Powell, Peter Francis James, Craig Bockhorn, and Alexander Mitchell.On Golden Pond was first presented in 1978 starring Tom Aldredge and Frances Sternhagen. It opened on Broadway at The New Apollo Theater in 1979. The most known production is the 1981 film starring Henry Fonda, Katharine Hepburn, Jane Fonda, and Dabney Coleman.After 48 summers on Golden Pond, Norman and Ethel Thayer open up their home to their grandson, who grows older as they grow younger again.
