Governors say the BBC was right to air the award winning show

The corporation's board of governors ruled today that the BBC was right to broadcast the controversial show saying it was a work of "Outstanding artistic significance” and this countered any offense it may of caused.55,000 people complained about the show, which featured a The musical features a diaper fetishist confess all to his true love, a tap dance routine by the Ku Klux Klan, and a swearing match between Jesus and the Devil. However, the governors ruled that the majority of the complaints were received before the show was broadcast and so did not take them into account; they also noted that many seemed to be par of an organized email campaign.The corporation also saw protests outside its headquarters in London during the run up to the broadcast.The show is scheduled to tour the UK later this year, having wound up its run in the west end of London.
