Grab a Pie and a Pint and Watch Robbie Coltrane on Stage
By James Wray Mar 29, 2005, 17:43 GMT
Robbie Coltrane is set to return to the Scottish stage for the first time in 15 years.
The actor and star of Harry Potter is to play the lead in a play showing to lunchtime audiences in a Glasgow pub.
The play, "The Brother's Suit," is part of the Pie and Pint spring season and will be on at the Oran Mor in Glasgow from April 11 - 16.
Peter McDougall wrote the screenplay and Coltrane says this is why he took the role: "I have always been a great admirer of Peter's work and I am delighted to be doing a Peter McDougall play."
The various plays run from Monday through to Saturday. Doors open 12.30pm, play starts 13.10pm, show ends 13.50pm. Tickets cost £10 and can be purchased in advance from http://www.secctickets.com or telephone 08700 132 652.
You can also pick them up at the door, though for Coltrane's performances we think pre-booking is wise.
