I am planning a special birthday for my 10-yr old niece and thought taking her to see Wicked would be fun. People who have read the book suggested the play may not be suitable for a young girl. I'd love to hear your comments. Should I take her or not? Thanks for your input!

Hey janb in Chicago! I would recommend taking your niece when she's a bit older as well. I think she would appreciate it a lot more and understand it a bit better. It's an amazing play though, a few more years and you'll both be hooked!

I think Wicked is for anyone who can appreciate anything fun. the performance is very much toned down from the book, and you can enjoy it no matter what your age. What you take from it may depend on your age, but I think that is true for all things!!!

Everyone deserves a chance to 'defy gravity'

Wicked was the most wonderful thing I have ever seen. I think it is perfectly suitable for a 10 year old! Take her! You won't regret it! I fully intend to see it several more times.
