Opera Singer Found Stabbed In His Home

Detectives are investigating the stabbing death of Richard Markley, a 45 year old opera singer.
Markley was a veteran opera singer who joined the Lyric Company in 1991.
"It is with shock, outrage and deep, deep sadness that I and members of the Lyric Opera company learned of the fatal stabbing of tenor Richard Markley," the Lyric's general director William Mason, said in a statement. "He was an esteemed and valued member of the company who sang many roles with us as well as being a member of our chorus. He will be deeply missed."
