Denzel Washington To Star In Julius Caesar

New York: Denzel Washinton will play Brutus in a new production of William Shakespeare's Julius Caesar this spring. Daniel Sullivan will direct the revival which is set to play the Belasco Theatre in April. No closing date has been set for the theatre's current tenant, Dracula the Musical.

Washington made his Broadway debut in the comedy Checkmates, which played for 172 performances in 1988.
