Harris earned an Obie Award for originating the role of Eddie in the Off Broadway production of the play in 1983. Fool For Love is about a chance meeting between two former lovers at a seedy motel near the Mojave Desert. It is revealed that it may be more than just a chance encounter, and they may have been more than just lovers.
Harris' other stage credits include A Streetcar Named Desire, The Grapes of Wrath, Sweet Bird of Youth, and Trumbo. He has starred in many films including The Truman Show and Apollo 13 and made his film directorial debut for Pollock, earning two Oscar nominations.
