Mark Hanauer Presents 'Personal Nature' at Huntington Botanical Gardens

Hanauer\'s exhibit "Personal Nature" will be a part of the Huntington Botanical Garden\'s overall exhibit "Focus on Flowers", which will be on display from Saturday, September 10th - Tuesday, November 1st.

Acclaimed photographer Mark Hanauer will premier his first collection of botanical photos at the Huntington Botanical Gardens in Pasadena, CA; one of the world's great cultural, research, and educational centers.

Hanauer's exhibit "Personal Nature" will be a part of the Huntington Botanical Garden's overall exhibit "Focus on Flowers", which will be on display from Saturday, September 10th - Tuesday, November 1st.

On Saturday, October 15th there will be an artist reception for Mark Hanauer at the Huntington Botanical Gardens (1151 Oxford Road, San Marino, CA 91108) from 6:00pm - 8:00pm.

Background

Hanauer's exploration of botanicals began upon a visit the Huntington Botanical Gardens. Hanauer got lost in the beauty, color, and shapes that appeared thought the botanical gardens which inspired him to create a series of images that were purely personal.

Mark Hanauer is a photographic artist living in Santa Monica, California. He creates evocative imagery in the world of entertainment, beauty, advertising, editorial and fine arts.

Mark's portraits have graced film, athletic and arts books and magazines for many years. Interested in vision over subject matter, Hanauer moves seamlessly among genres, shooting arresting portraits to creating otherworldly meditations on flowers and other sublime landscapes. Hanauer's work has been featured in Rolling Stone, GQ, Time, New York Times Sunday Magazine, Los Angeles magazine, Esquire, Men's Fitness, as well is in the permanent collection of the Deutsche Guggenheim Museum, Berlin. Hanauer has also taught at The Art Center College of Design and UCLA.
