The 1990 film, "Ghost", starring Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze, will hit Broadway in the Spring of 2012.

Playbill reported that the producers for Ghost the Musical announced that the production, currently on stage in London, is destined for the Great White Way in April of 2012. The play will open at a yet-to-be named Nederland Theater, and previews will start in March.

"Ghost is a welcome antidote in our age of cynicism.  The story continues to resonate on a very personal level with each person who experiences it, whether laughing or remembering how it feels to truly be in love,” producer Colin Ingram said in a press release. “It’s such a joy to see this timeless story as a musical that deeply affects both those who cherish it and those who are seeing it for the first time.”

The West End production features Richard Fleeshman and Caissie Levy in the roles originally played by Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore in the 1990 film.

Production notes: Tony Award winner Matthew Warchus will reportedly direct the New York stage version. Set and costume designs will be by Rob Howell, choreography by Ashely Wallen, musical supervision and arrangements by Christopher Nightingale, lighting design by Hugh Vanstone, projection design by Jon Driscoll and illusions by Paul Kieve said the press release.
