Robin Williams to make Broadway debut

New York - Film funnyman Robin Williams is to make his Broadway theatre debut in the production of the play Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo, producers announced Thursday.
The play is a darkly comic drama about the Iraq war, in which a philosophical tiger at the Baghdad zoo tells of his experience in the Iraq war.
The play follows the intersecting stories of two US soldiers, two sons of Saddam Hussein and several other characters caught up in the war. The play is to open at an unspecified Broadway theatre on March 31.
Williams is expected to play the title role in the play, which had its world premiere in 2009 in Los Angeles and was a finalist for last year's Pulitzer Prize for drama.
