Freer and Sackler Galleries present Asia After Dark: Asian Pop Rock

The galleries are located on the National Mall, the grassy area between the Capitol and the Washington Monument, steps from the Smithsonian Metro stop. The Sackler Gallery is located at 1050 Independence Avenue, SW. The Freer Gallery of Art is located at Jefferson Drive at 12th Street, SW. The two museums are connected by an underground exhibition space.

Sneak a peek at stunning video and photography in Fiona Tan: Rise and Fall. Meet Zac Holtzman and Senon Williams from the Cambodian pop-rock band Dengue Fever. Get creative with the Pink Line Project to the eclectic Asian grooves of DJs Yellow Fever.

Score first dibs on limited-edition Peacock Room T-shirts by Anna Sui.

The Arthur M. Sackler Gallery, located at 1050 Independence Avenue S.W., and the adjacent Freer Gallery of Art, located at 12th Street and Independence Avenue S.W., are on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. every day, except Dec. 25, and admission is free.

The galleries are located near the Smithsonian Metrorail station on the Blue and Orange lines. Yoga master and hip-hop artist MC Yogi was named "one of the brightest lights coming out of the North Bay music scene" by Pacific Sun. Layering beat-boxing with sacred chanting, he creates a unique blend of Indian music and mythology and infectious rhythm.
