ART WALK PARTY: The DFFLA Sterephonic Arcade

7 pm to Midnight
Spring Arcade Building
541 S. Spring Street
Los Angeles 90013

DFFLA 2010 presents an indie rock explosion of bands that help define the future of modern music. In conjunction with the screening of the rockumentary Echotone - a highly-stylized film that explores the diversification of the current music scene in Austin, Texas - the producers and DFFLA have assembled a collection of musicians and bands that reflect the fomenting kaleidoscope of new sounds, which emphasize a stringent, uncompromising ideology. L.A.'s Eastside 'hoods shares a disitinct musical bond with many of the bands from Austin. Almost every week you can find at least one Austin band performing at one of L.A.'s music clubs, and L.A. bands are always in full force at Austin's SXSW music fest.

Echotone, screening Thursday, Sept. 9, 8 pm, Downtown Independent Theater
