London show of Bob Dylan paintings could be Million Dollar Bash

London - Even before opening, the exhibition in London of 300 paintings by legendary US singer Bob Dylan promises to be a million dollar bash, as most of the work has already been sold. The Drawn Blank Series, comprising some 300 colourful canvasses of nudes, interiors, portraits, trains and street scenes, casts a 'vibrant light' on Dylan's talent as a visual artist, Paul Green of the exclusive Halcyon Gallery in central London said. 'Just as Dylan's songs are constantly reinvigorated and rediscovered through his live performances, so these paintings revisit images and scenes which were captured in all their immediacy by the artist.' The works are based on sketches and drawings made by Dylan while on the road between 1989 and 1992, and the paintings are a visual echo of the 'stylistic hallmarks of Dylan's prose, poetry and music.' The exhibition runs for a month from June 14 to July 13, but most - if not all - of the signed works have already been sold to collectors and fans before the public even gets to see them, agents confirmed.
