"I see it as such a treat for myself," says Law, who last appeared onstage, under Lan's direction, in 2002's Doctor Faustus at the Young Vic Theatre, but Law points out that "One thing's for certain: Hamlet's a better play -- so much a better play."
Law had great things to say about the most recent production of Hamlet at the Old Vic Theatre, in particular, Ben Whishaw's performance,"I loved it," Law says of Whishaw's performance, "Ben took himself to the part rather than letting this massive legacy of a role come to him. He found the Hamlet in him."
On the choice of Hamlet David Lan said, "When we think about what we should do, we think about big plays, why do anything except the most ambitious? Why not really go for it?"
Nothing is confirmed, but Hamlet starring Jude Law could be a possibility in 2006 when The Young Vic reopens to the public.
