Boeing-Boeing flys into Broadway's Longacre theater

New York: Boeing-Boeing, which completed a successful West End run last month, has found its home on Broadway. The play will begin previews at the Longacre Theater on April 19th and officially open on May 4th.

Set to star is Bradley Whitford as Bernard, Christine Baranski as Bertha, and Mark Rylance as Robert. Peformers for the trio of ladies Bernard romances have yet to be announced. Boeing-Boeing, written by Marc Camoletti, has been adapted and translated by Beverley Cross. The creative team includes set design by Rob Howell, lighting design by Hugh Vanstone, sound design by Simon Baker, and original music by Claire Van Kampen. Matthew Warchus directs.The play concerns an architect living in Paris who has been successfully juggling three flight attendant fiancées with his housekeeper reluctantly playing romantic air-traffic controller as they fly in and out of his swank bachelor pad. But when an old school pal visits, things get rather turbulent. Schedules change, flights are delayed and chaos ensues in this whirl of mayhem and matchmaking.
