Chaka Khan, BeBe Winans, and Lakisha Jones to join The Color Purple

New York: The Color Purple is set to welcome three new cast members, Chaka Khan, BeBe Winans, and 2007 American Idol finalist LaKisha Jones. All will be making their Broadway debuts. Jones will join the musical on December 19th as the Church Soloist, the character who opens the show with the rousing gospel number "Mysterious Ways”, at all evening performances as well as Sofia at all matinee performances beginning January 9, 2008.
