Ashlie Atkinson replaces Caroline Aaron in The Ritz

New York: Ashlie Atkinson has replaced Caroline Aaron as Vivian Proclo in the Broadway production of The Ritz. This casting change caused the September 14th performance, the first preview, to be changed to the following day. The production will still open on October 11th at Studio 54.
The Terrance McNally play stars Rosie Perez as Googie Gomez, Kevin Chamberlin as Gaetano Procio, Brooks Ashmanskas as Chris, Patrick Kerr as Claude Perkins, Lucas Near-Verbrugghe as Tiger, Terrence Riordan as Michael Brick, Seth Rudetsky as Sheldon, Adam Sietz as Abe, David Turner as Duff, Lenny Venito as Carmine Vespucci, and Angela Pietropinto as Aunt Vera.
The creative team includes set design by Scott Pask, costume design by William Ivey Long, choreography by Christopher Gattelli, lighting design by Peggy Eisenhauer and Jules Fisher, and sound design by Tony Meola.
