A Midsummer Night's Dream closes today

New York: The Public Theatre's Shakespeare in the Park production of A Midsummer Night's Dream plays its final performance today at the Delacorte Theater.
Starring in the play is Martha Plimpton as Helena, Jason Antoon as Snout, Keith David as Oberon, Mireille Enos as Hermia, Jon Michael Hill as Puck, Austin Lysy as Lysander, Tim Blake Nelson as Quince, Daniel Oreskes as Theseus, Laila Robins as Titania, Jay O. Sanders as Bottom, Elliot Villar as Demetrius, Chelsea Bacon as First Fairy, Ken Cheeseman as Starveling, Jesse Tyler Ferguson as Flute, Herb Foster as Philostrate, George Morfogen as Egeus, and Keith Randolph Smith as Snug.
The cast of fairies includes Simon Garratt, Erica Huang, Cassidy Leonard, Isis Ashai Mullen-Hansen, Lina Silver, and Jack Tartaglia.
The creative team includes set design by Eugene Lee, costume design by Ann Hould-Ward, lighting design by Michael Chybowski, and sound design by Acme Sound Partners.
In Shakespeare's play four lovers flee Athens for the forest, unaware that their romantic squabble and parental difficulties will soon be overshadowed by magic. A fight between the King and Queen of the Fairies, Titania and Oberon, ensues, turning them into libidinous lunatics, while Titania herself falls in love with a buffoon turned ass.
