New witches for Wicked

New York: Broadway's Wicked will welcome two new witches in October. Stephanie J. Block and Annaleigh Ashford will star as Elphaba and Glinda respectively beginning October 9th. Current stars, Julia Murney and Kendra Kassebaum, will play their final performances on the 7th.

Block and Ashford will join a cast that includes Lenny Wolpe as The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, Sebastian Arcelus as Fiyero, Carole Shelley as Madame Morrible, Cristy Candler as Nessarose, Logan Lipton as Boq, and Steven Skybell as Doctor Dillamond.Long before Dorothy dropped in, two other girls meet in the Land of Oz. One, born with emerald-green skin, is smart, fiery and misunderstood. The other is beautiful, ambitious and very popular.
