Carole Shelley returns to Broadway's Wicked

New York: Carole Shelley is set to return to the Broadway production of Wicked in the role she created. The actress will star as Madame Morrible beginning August 28th. Current star, Jayne Houdyshell will play her final performance on the 26th.

Shelley will join a cast that includes Julia Murney as Elphaba, Kendra Kassebaum as Glinda, Lenny Wolpe as The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, Sebastian Arcelus as Fiyero, Cristy Candler as Nessarose, Logan Lipton as Boq, and Steven Skybell as Doctor Dillamond.Long before Dorothy dropped in, two other girls meet in the Land of Oz. One, born with emerald-green skin, is smart, fiery and misunderstood. The other is beautiful, ambitious and very popular.
