Lenny Wolpe joins Wicked

New York: Lenny Wolpe will join the Broadway run of Wicked as the Wizard on July 10th. He will replace David Garrison who will play his final performance on July 8th.

Wolpe has appeared on Broadway in The Drowsy Chaperone, The Sound of Music, Copperfield, Into the Light, and Onward Victoria. He also appeared as the Wizard in the original workshops of Wicked.The cast of Wicked currently includes Julia Murney as Elphaba, Kendra Kassebaum as Glinda, David Garrison as The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, Sebastian Arcelus as Fiyero, Jayne Houdyshell as Madame Morrible, Cristy Candler as Nessarose, Logan Lipton as Boq, and Steven Skybell as Doctor Dillamond.Long before Dorothy dropped in, two other girls meet in the Land of Oz. One, born with emerald-green skin, is smart, fiery and misunderstood. The other is beautiful, ambitious and very popular.
