Howard Katz closes today

New York: Patrick Marber's Howard Katz plays its final performance today at the Laura Pels Theater. The Roundabout Theater Off-Broadway production stars Alfred Molina in the title role as well as Euan Morton, Jessica Hecht, Elizabeth Franz, Alvin Epstein, Max Baker, Charlotte Parry, Patrick Henney, and Edward Hajj.

The creative team includes set design by Scott Pask, costume design by Catherine Zuber, lighting design by Christopher Akerlind, and original music and sound design by David Van Tieghem.Press notes for the play read as follows: Once a powerful, hard-hearted showbiz agent, Howard Katz has lost everything he ever valued. Olivier Award winner Patrick Marber deftly traces the story of the mighty Katz through haunting flashbacks, capturing a man free-falling yet determinedly clinging to life in a universal story that will touch even the most cynical heart.
