London: The revival production of David Auburn's Proof plays its final performance today at the Arts Theatre. Starring in the drama is Sally Oliver as Catherine, Neal Foster as Hal, Aislinn Sands as Claire, and Terence Booth as Robert.
The production features direction by John Harrison and design by Norman Coates.
Proof premiered Off-Broadway with Manhattan Theater Club in May 2000 before moving on to Broadway at the Walter Kerr Theater in October of the same year. The production was led by Mary Louise Parker. The drama made its London debut in 2002 at the Donmar Warehouse starring Gwyneth Paltrow. The actress went on to star in the 2005 film version of the play.
In Proof, Catherine sacrifices her youth to care for her mentally ill father who was once a brilliant, much-admired mathematician.
