London : Scarlett Strallen is set to return to the title role in the London production of Mary Poppins . She was the second actress to play the role taking over from Laura Michelle Kelly in October 2005. Current Mary Poppins, Lisa O'Hare, is leaving to star in the American tour of My Fair Lady .

Strallen has appeared in such West End shows as Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, The Witches of Eastwick, Peggy Sue Got Married, Mamma Mia! , and Aspects of Love .
The musical currently stars Lisa O'Hare as Mary Poppins, Gavin Creel as Bert, Aden Gillett as George Banks, Rebecca Thornhill as Winifred Banks, Romy Baskerville as Bird Woman, Zee Asha as Mrs. Brill, Louise Gold as Miss Andrew, and Howard Jones as Robertson Ay.
Mary Poppins opened at The Prince Edward Theater on December 12, 2004 to fantastic reviews. Directed by Richard Eyre and Matthew Bourne, the musical has a book by Julian Fellows, music by Robert and Richard Sherman with additional songs by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe, and choreography by Matthew Bourne and Stephen Mear.
Based on the classic Disney film about the pratically perfect nanny who takes care of two children whose parents are occupied with other manners, Mary Poppins was nominated for nine 2005 Olivier Awards and took home two, one for original Mary, Laura Michelle Kelly and one for Best Choreography.
