Alexa Vega to join Hairspray

Her other film credits include Twister, Little Giants, Nine Months, Ghosts of Mississippi, The Deep End of the Ocean, Sleepover, and State's Evidence.Hairspray currently stars Shannon Durig as Tracy Turnblad, Paul Vogt as Edna Turnblad, Diana DeGarmo as Penny Pingleton, Jere Burns as Wilbur Turnblad, Darlene Love as Motormouth Maybelle, Tevin Campbell as Seaweed J. Stubbs, Jonathan Dokuchitz as Corny Collins, Isabel Keating as Velma Von Tussle, Tara Macri as Amber Von Tussle, and Ashley Parker Angel as Link Larkin. The musical won 8 2003 Tonys including Best Musical, Best Book, Best Score, Best Director, and Best Actress and Actor in a Musical.In Hairspray, Baltimore's Tracy Turnblad, a big girl with big hair and an even bigger heart, has only one passion--to dance.
