Nathan Lane Injured During The Frogs

New York: Nathan Lane was injured during the September 1st matinee of The Frogs. His understudy performed  the rest of the show while Lane sought medical attention for gashes and bruises to his legs. Lane was evaluated by doctors and had no broken bones from the incident, and will continue to be evaluated.

The injury occurred when Lane descended into the stage via a trapdoor.The role is physically demanding and requires him at one point to bounce on an elastic cord and be spun through the air.

It is not known when Lane might return to the part.
