Oh my. Dirty Dancing on stage. As a girl who has based all romantic fantasies on this movie, as well as an actor who adores musical theatre I have mixed feelings about this. It could be a terrible let down for those of us who grew up on the movie (how do you reproduce the Swayze/Grey chemistry?), or it could be the best thing to hit TO in awhile. Based on the recent lack of success Toronto has had with musicals this could be the thing they need - a musical with a story that a whole lot of people already know. You know that I will be auditioning for this if I get the chance. Baby, mmmm, ohhh, baby, my sweet baby, you're the one...
I think it's very exciting! I am not usually a big fans of musicals simply because I live 10 hours away from Toronto and cannot always afford or take time off to see all these shows but this one I will definetly make plans to see it!
