Bent to close on December 9th

London: The West End production of Martin Sherman's Bent will play its final performance at Trafalgar Studios on December 9th. The drama had been booking through January 13, 2007.
Starring in the production is Alan Cumming as Max, Richard Bremmer as Greta, Hugh Ross as Freddie, Kevin Trainor as Rudy, and Benjamin Wilkin as Wolf. The company will also include Ricky Camp, Charles Mayer, Matthew Spencer, and Laurence Spellman.
Bent first premiered in 1979 at the Royal Court starring Ian McKellan as Max. It was later turned into a film in 1990 starring Clive Owen, Lothaire Bluteau, Jude Law, and Mick Jagger.
Set amidst the decadence of pre-war fascist Germany, Bent is a powerful tale of the tragedy of love, as three men fight for survival in the face of Nazi persecution. Bent illustrates how the selfless love of one person for another can overcome oppression, even under the most extreme circumstances.
