Mamma Mia! turns 5

New York: Mamma Mia! celebrates it fifth birthday today at the Winter Garden Theater. To commemorate the event a special performance of the musical will be held tonight to benefit the Actors' Fund of America's Phyllis Newman Women's Health Initiative. Montgomery as Bill Austin, Andy Kelso as Sky, Samantha Eggers as Lisa, Raymond J. Lee as Eddie, Veronica J. Kuehn as Ali, and Bryan Scott Johnson as Father Alexandrios. The production features music and lyrics by Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus, book by Catherine Johnson, and direction by Phyllida Lloyd.On the eve of her wedding, a daughter's quest to discover the identity of her father brings 3 men from her mother's past back to the island they last visited 20 years ago.
