Fool For Love closes today

London: The West End revival production of Sam Shepard's Fool For Love plays its final performance today at the Apollo Theatre.

Lindsay Posner directs a cast that includes Juliette Lewis, Martin Henderson, Larry Lamb, and Joe Duttine.The creative team features set design by Bunny Christie, lighting design by Mark Henderson, costume design by Bunny Christie, and sound design by Fergus O'Hare.Fool For Love premiered Off-Broadway in 1983 and then in London in 1984. It was most recently revived in 1996 at the Donmar Warehouse. The play is set in a seedy motel room in southern California, where May and Eddie go back beyond their adult lives, back to the legacy of their parents and their parents before. As they challenge each other's versions of events, what emerges through broken images and scraps of remembered colours is a childhood which defines the rest of their lives.
