Patrick Swayze
London: Patrick Swayze will stay with Guys and Dolls a little longer. The actor has announced that he has extended his contract through October 7th. He was originally set to depart on September 23rd. Adam Cooper and Kelly Price have also extended their contracts. They will continue as Sky Masterson and Sarah Brown through the 7th as well. Claire Sweeney will depart on September 9th to headline the musical's tour. A replacement for her has not been announced.
The musical opened at the Piccadilly Theatre on June 1, 2005.
In Guys and Dolls, Nathan Detroit, the organizer of the oldest established permanent floating crap game in New York, bets fellow gambler Sky Masterson that he can't make the next girl he sees fall in love with him. The next girl he sees happens to be Miss Sarah Brown, a pure-at-heart Salvation Army-type reformer. Sky has his work cut out for him.
