Casting news for Butley

New York: Additional casting has been announced for the upcoming Broadway production of Simon Gray's Butley. Joining Nathan Lane will be Dana Ivey, Julia Ovenden, and Pamela J. Gray.
Ivey has been Tony nominated for her work in Heartbreak House, Sunday in the Park with George, The Last Night of Ballyhoo, and The Rivals. Some of her other Broadway credits include Present Laughter, Indiscretions, Sex and Longing, Waiting in the Wings, and Henry IV.
Ovenden was most recently seen in the Donmar Warehouse productions of Merrily We Role Along and Grand Hotel.
Gray starred alongside Lane in Butley at the Huntington Theatre.
Butley, directed by Nicholas Martin, will begin previews at the Booth Theater on October 5th and officially open on October 25th.
Lane starred in a 2003 production of Butley at The Huntington, also directed by Martin. It premiered on Broadway in 1972.
The creative team will include set design by Alexander Dodge, costume design by Ann Roth, lighting design by David Weiner, and sound design by John Gromada.
Butley is a dark comedy about a literary professor who loses his wife and lover in the same day.
