Alan Cumming to head Bent cast

London: It has been confirmed that Alan Cumming will indeed take the lead role of Max in the upcoming London production of Martin Sherman's Bent. The rest of the cast will include:
Richard Bremmer as Greta
Hugh Ross as Freddie
Kevin Trainor as Rudy
Benjamin Wilkin as Wolf
The company will also include Ricky Camp, Charles Mayer, Matthew Spencer, and Laurence Spellman.
Bent, directed by Daniel Kramer, will begin previews at Trafalgar Studios on September 22nd and officially open on October 5th. It is currently booking through January 13th.
The play first premiered in 1979 at the Royal Court starring Ian McKellan as Max. It was later turned into a film in 1990 starring Clive Owen, Lothaire Bluteau, Jude Law, and Mick Jagger.
Bent, set in Nazi Germany in 1934, explores the persecution of gay men during Hitler's regime.
