Chicago, IL: The open-ended production of Wicked at Chicago's Ford Center for the Performing Arts, Oriental Theatre will celebrate its one year anniversary on June 24th. To celebrate that milestone a public celebration will be held on June 20th at Water Tower Square Park at 12:30 p.m.
Fans are invited to come "greenified" and dressed as Elphaba. The first 365 witches in attendance who are "wicked'ly dressed" and "fully greenified" will each receive a pair of tickets to a future performance.
The day will also feature special appearences from the cast including current Elphaba, Kristy Cates, who will lead a group sing-a-long of "Defying Gravity." The finalists from the 2005 Be Wicked singing contest will also be on hand to perform their favorite songs from Wicked.
Wicked currently stars Kristy Cates, Stacie Morgain Lewis, Gene Weygandt, Kristoffer Cusick, Carole Shelley, Heidi Kettenring, Telly Leung, and Steven Skybell.
