New York: Bad weather will delay the start of previews for the Public Theater's Shakespeare in the Park's production of Macbeth. Originally set to begin on June 13th, the production will now begin one day later on June 14th. The run will continue as scheduled after that.
A press statement reads, "The rains of the last few weeks have slowed down the preparation of scenery and production elements and in the past week have kept the cast from necessary rehearsals."
Leading the production is Liev Schreiber as Macbeth and Jennifer Ehle as Lady Macbeth.
Macbeth, directed by Moises Kaufman will play the Delacorte Theater through July 9th as apart of The Public Theater's Shakespeare in the Park. Tickets are free and will be available on the day of the performance (two per person) at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park beginning at 1:00 p.m. and at The Public Theater, 425 Lafayette Street from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m..
