Las Vegas : The start of previews for the Las Vegas production of The Phantom of the Opera at the Venetian Hotel and Casino has been pushed back due to construction delays on the new theater that is to house the musical.
Phantom - The Las Vegas Spectacular will now begin previews on June 12th, eight days later than originally announced. Media night (June 23rd) and opening night (June 24th) will remain the same.
Phantom - The Las Vegas Spectacular , will be a shortened 95 minute version of Broadway's longest running musical. Starring will be Brent Barrett and Anthony Crivello as The Phantom, Sierra Boggess and Elizabeth Loyacano as Christine, Tim Martin Gleason as Raoul, Lawson Skala as Firmin, John Leslie Wolfe as Andre, Elena Jeanne Batman and Geena Jeffries Mattox as Carlotta, Rebecca Spencer as Madame Giry, Larry Wayne Morbitt as Piangi, and Brianne Kelly Morgan as Meg Giry.
Based on Gaston Leroux's novel, The Phantom tells the story of a deformed man haunts the underground of the Paris Opera House. He falls in love with a young woman, Christine, whom he is teaching to perfect her voice. He exerts a strange control over her especially when she begins to fall in love with the handsome Raoul, and causes mayhem when things do not go his way.
