Nathan Lane to star in Butley on Broadway

Nathan Lane
New York: Nathan Lane will star in a revival production of Simon Gray's Butley this fall. The play, directed by Nicholas Martin will begin previews at the Booth Theater on October 5th and officially open on October 25th.
Lane starred in a 2003 production of Butley at The Huntington, also directed by Martin. It premiered on Broadway in 1972.
The creative team will include set design by Alexander Dodge, costume design by Ann Roth, lighting design by David Weiner, and sound design by John Gromada.
Butley is a dark comedy about a literary professor who loses his wife and lover in the same day.
Nathan Lane is a two time Tony winner, winning for The Producers and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. He is currently starring opposite Matthew Broderick in the revival production of The Odd Couple, and has starred on Broadway in Guys and Dolls, Love! Valour! Compassion!, The Frogs, and Laughter on the 23rd Floor.
Additional casting for the play will be announced.
