New York PostStarring in the drama is Oliver Platt as John, Brían F. O’Byrne as Ian, Martha Plimpton as Neasa, and Peter Scanavino as Laurence. Robert Falls directs. Originally produced at London’s Royal Court Theater, Shining City is set in Dublin, where a guilt-ridden man reaches out to a therapist after seeing the ghost of his recently deceased wife. Wrestling with his own demons, the therapist can only do so much to help. Routine visits between the two men quickly become a gripping struggle to survive, changing both of them for the rest of their lives.The creative team includes scenic design by Santo Loquasto, costume design by Kaye Voyce, lighting design by Christopher Akerlind, and sound design by Obadiah Eaves.For Shining City tickets visit www.manhattantheaterclub.org.
