The Threepenny Opera extends

New York: The Roundabout Theater Company's production of The Threepenny Opera has extended at Studio 54 by one week. Originally set to close on June 18th, the musical will now shutter on June 25th.
Starring in the musical is Alan Cumming, Cyndi Lauper, Jim Dale, Ana Gasteyer, Nellie McKay, Christopher Innvar, Carlos Leon, and Brian Charles Rooney. Scott Elliot directs.
The Threepenny Opera has been adapted from the musical Die Dreigroschenoper by Wallace Shawn. In it a notorious bandit marries a young girl. Her father does everything in his power to end the union. The production is set to run through June 18th.
The creative team includes set design by Derek McLane, costume design by Isaac Mizrahi, and lighting design by Jason Lyons.
