New York - Pablo Picasso's 1941 painting Dora Maar with Cat fetched 95.2 million dollars at auction Wednesday, the second-highest price ever paid for a painting, Sotheby's auctioneers said.
The picture of the artist's lover with a black cat on her shoulder went to an anonymous buyer, a Sotheby's spokeswoman said. The selling price was nearly twice its pre-auction estimated value of 50 million dollars.
