Complete cast announced for Evita

London: Casting is now complete for the upcoming London production of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's Evita. Joining the previously announced Elena Roger, Philip Quast, and Matt Rawle will be Lorna Want as Juan Peron's mistress, Gary Milner as Magaldi, and Abbie Osman as the alternate Eva.

The ensemble features Ashley Day, Stuart Neal, Paul Basleigh, Greg Castiglioni, Adam Pearce, Tim Morgan, Mark Heenehan, Kevin Curtin, Halcro Johnston, Jodie Jacobs, Pip Jordan, Emma Harris, Mark Powell, Kirsty Mather, Leila Benn Harris, Aoife Nally, Jackie Marks, Robyn North and Sarah Ryan.The creative team includes design by Christopher Oram and choreography by Rob Ashford.Evita, directed by Michael Grandage, will begin previews at the Adelphi Theatre on June 2nd and officially opening on June 21st.This production of Evita will be the first major West End revival of the musical since its debut in 1978. It premiered on Broadway in 1979. Madonna and Antonio Banderas starred in a 1996 film version which featured a new song titled "You Must Love Me." That song will also be included in this new production.Evita is based on the life and times of Eva Perón, the second wife of Argentine dictator Juan Perón. It chronicles her life as Argentina’s most complex and powerful figure, against a backdrop of political unrest, until her tragic death of cancer in 1952.For Evita tickets visit our database here.
