Ring of Fire closes today

New York: Ring of Fire, the musical featuring the songs of Johnny Cash, plays its final performance at the Barrymore Theater today. It will have played 57 performances.

Richard Maltby, Jr. staged the Johnny Cash inspired musical, which was conceived by William Meade. In Ring of Fire, a remarkable cast of performers and musicians take us on a rousing adventure of love and faith, struggle and success -- all with the strength, humor and downright honesty that made Johnny Cash one of the greatest songwriters and most revered storytellers in American music.The cast includes Eric Anthony, Jeb Brown, Laurie Canaan, Jason Edwards, Jarrod Emick, Dan Immel, Ron Krasinski, Jeff Lisenby, David M. Lutken, Beth Malone, Cass Morgan, Brent Moyer, Randy Redd, and Lari White. The show features 38 of Cash's songs including "Country Boy," "A Thing Called Love," "Five Feet High and Rising," "Daddy Sang Bass," "Ring of Fire," "I Walk the Line," "I've Been Everywhere," "The Man in Black," and "Hurt."

The creative team includes choreography by Lisa Shriver, Neil Patel as scenic designer, Ken Billington as lighting designer, and David Woolard as costume designer.
