Julianne Moore to star in The Vertical Hour on Broadway

New York: Variety is reporting that Julianne Moore is set to star in a new play by David Hare titled, The Vertical Hour. Directed by Sam Mendes, the drama is set to open at a Shubert Theater on November 30, 2006.
According to variety, "Moore will play Nadia Blye, an American war correspondent-turned-academic who teaches political studies at Yale. While on holiday with a boyfriend, she meets an Englishman who challenges her beliefs and shakes up her relationship."
Moore, a four time Oscar nominee, has appeared in such films as Boogie Nights, The End of the Affair, Freedomland, The Prize Winner of Defiance Ohio, The Forgotten, The Hours, The Lost World, Far from Heaven, Evolution, and Hannibal.
David Hare's play Stuff Happens will begin previews at the end of this month at the Public Theater.
