Matthew Broderick to headline new Lonergan play

New York: Variety has reported that a new play by This Is Our Youth and Lobby Hero author, Kenneth Lonergan, will make its debut on Broadway in April 2007. The work, The Starry Messenger, will be directed by Longergan and star Matthew Broderick.
Additional casting and a theater will be announced at a later date.
During Broderick's extensive stage carrer he has received Tony Awards for Brighton Beach Memoirs and How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, and a nomination for his work in The Producers. His other theatre credits include Biloxi Blues, Night Must Fall, Taller Than a Dwarf, On Valentine's Day, Torch Song Trilogy, and The Widow Claire.
