Caine Mutiny Court-Martial moves to the Schoenfeld

New York: The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial will not play the Schoenfeld Theater as originally announced when it opens on Broadway. The drama will now play the Schoenfeld Theater.

In a statement, producer Jeffrey Richards said, "The Shubert Organization has a genuine sense of theatrical history, for the Caine Mutiny is returning to its original New York venue where it opened on January 20, 1954. We are grateful that Admiral Schoenfeld has steered us home.”The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial, directed by Jerry Zaks, will play the Schoenfeld Theater beginning previews on April 14th and officially opening on May 7th. Starring in the production will be Joe Sikora, Geoffrey Nauffts, Tim Daly, David Schwimmer, Zeljko Ivanek, Terry Beaver, Murphy Guyer, Brian Reddy, and Ben Fox.The play based on Herman Wouk's book ran for 415 performances in 1954 starring Henry Fonda, John Hodlak, and Lloyd Nolan. The work was also turned into a film starring Humphrey Bogart.In the play, Lieutenant Stephen Maryk relieves his commander, Queeg, of his duty because he feels he is too mentally unstable to pilot their sub.
