New York: The Off-Broadway production of Bert V. Royal's parody of Charlie Brown and his friends, Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead, played its final performance on February 20th at the Century Center for the Performing Arts. The comedy was originally announced to close on the 26th.

The original cast included Eddie Kaye Thomas, Eliza Dushku, America Ferrara, Kelli Garner, Ari Graynor, Logan Marshall-Green, Keith Nobbs and Ian Somerhalder. Dushku, Ferrara, and Somerhalder had already left the production at the time of closing.

In the production, CB's beloved beagle has terminal rabies, and his world is inhabited by a comic strip parade of misfits: a missing pen  pal, an abused pianist, a pyromaniac ex-girlfriend, two drunken cheerleaders, a  homophobic quarterback, a burnt-out Buddhist, and a drama-queen sister.  Together, these factors all contribute–Good grief!–to this modern tale of teenage angst.
