Whoopi Goldberg Is Heading Back To Broadway

New York: Broadway.com has learned that Whoopi Goldberg is coming back to Broadway this fall with a new production of her 1984 one woman show. The original show was supervised by Mike Nichols and ran at the Lyceum Theatre from October 1984 to March 1985.

In related news, the Tony winning play I Am My Own Wife, currently playing at the Lyceum Theatre will close on October 31st just in time for Goldberg's show to move in on November 6th and run through January 30, 2005. The show will first play a one-week tryout in Philadelphia at the Merriam Theatre beginning October 13th.
