Maria Friedman in The Woman in White
New York : According to a report in the New York Daily News, Maria Friedman is back in the hospital. The paper is reporting that she "underwent an undisclosed procedure related to the cancer yesterday and is expected to miss several performances."
"It is premature to speculate on Maria's return to the show this week," a spokesman told them. "The nature of her surgery was investigative and her course of treatment is still to be determined."
Maria Friedman rejoined the cast of The Woman in White on November 10th, just a week after her surgery for breast cancer.
The Woman in White is currently playing the Marquis Theater. Friedman's understudy, Lisa Brescia, will once agin fill in during her absence.
