Caine Mutiny Court-Martial gets a few stars and its Broadway dates

New YorkThe Caine Mutiny Court-MartialStarring in the production will be David Schwimmer as Lt. Barney Greenwald and Zeljko Ivanek as Lt. Com. Philip Francis Queeg.Schwimmer, a co-founder of Chicago's Lookingglass Theater Company, will be making his Broadway debut, and recently made his London debut in Neil Labute's Some Girls.Ivanek most recently starred in Broadway's The Pillowman. He has received Tony nominations for his work in Two Shakespearean Actors and Brighton Beach Memoirs.Jerry Zaks will direct the revival, which is based on Wouk's pulitzer prize winning novel The Caine Mutiny.The play ran for 415 performances in 1954 starring Henry Fonda, John Hodlak, and Lloyd Nolan. The work was also turned into a film starring Humphrey Bogart.In the play, Lieutenant Stephen Maryk relieves his commander, Queeg, of his duty because he feels he is too mentally unstable to pilot their sub. Maryk is accused of mutiny and put on trial by the Navy.
